OFFLINE FIELD MAPS

Prepare the area. Keep working beyond the signal.

Download a 1 × 1 or 2 × 2 km area on iPhone before you leave. Open its available map layers, saved parcel boundaries and field records without mobile coverage, with GPS position when the device has a fix.

Area downloads are a Field feature in all nine supported countries. A new official parcel lookup still needs a connection.

APPLE WATCH · FIELD COMPANION

A parcel map you can check without taking out your phone.

Download areas on iPhone, then open synced parcel maps on Apple Watch. Zoom with the Digital Crown, drag across the map, check GPS position and saved parcel details, and record a point, voice note or track.

Previously synced maps work without mobile coverage. A new official parcel lookup from the Watch needs the paired iPhone and a network connection.

Your field notes do not need another cloud.

Your field records stay on your device, or in your private iCloud if you enable sync. Network access supports requested maps, official data and Apple purchases. Optional usage sharing sends basic counts when you turn it on; it is off by default.
